After a long day at work and an hour or so at the gym, the last thing I want to do when I get home is spend hours in the kitchen preparing a meal! This super easy Garlic & Pesto Chicken recipe is perfect for busy bees, giving you enough time to carry on with other tasks as it cooks away in its garlic-y goodness.
On a gloomy Sunday afternoon, pouring down with rain, there is nothing better to do than to slip into a pair of wellies (or in my case, high wedge sneakers), skip down to Westbourne Grove and fill your belly with a wholesome brunch at Granger & Co.
Notting Hill is well known for its display of Caribbean culture in London. The area is peppered with Caribbean takeaways, reggae music serenading you down the street, the in-famous Notting Hill Carnival and of course, The Rum Kitchen.
They say you should have breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. And at La Porte des Indes’ Sunday brunch buffet, you do exactly that!
I was lucky enough to grow up in Malaysia which exposed me to some of the most amazing cuisines and flavours in the world! Malaysia is a melting pot of cultures with (the large expat crowd aside) Malays, Chinese & Indians making up the local population. One of my favourite local dishes is Chinese Chicken and Cashew Nuts so I decided to add my own twist to the recipe by throwing in some simple egg noodles!
I have always been indifferent towards New Years resolutions and don’t think have ever seriously made one but for some strange reason, I decided that 2014 was the year that I was going to do more. More positive thoughts, more risks, more travel and more healthy eating. One of the outcomes of this new resolution is making fresh green juice to start each day.
Over a month ago, I was having a browse through Harpers Bazaar’s Weekend Guide when a suggestion to visit The Blues Kitchen immediately caught my eye! I read the words, Texan BBQ Food next to a mouthwatering image of a rustic platter of meat and was completely sold! Since then, I had been waiting for an opportunity to check out this new hotspot so I made sure that my trip to east London last Sunday could only end at The Blues Kitchen.
For the past year, burger joints have been popping up around every nook and corner of London. Be it gourmet or fast-food, this American staple has officially taken over the city!
Five Guys opened its doors in London just less than a year ago along with another American burger giant, Shake Shack. Not a big deal for those across the pond but the opening of these two created quite the commotion amongst Londoners. With the first (super busy!) establishment in Covent Garden, a second just opened in Westfield Shepherd’s Bush about a week ago. Being a ten minute drive away, I obviously made my way to try the greasy goodness out for myself.

I’ve dabbled with blogs here and there over the years, starting way before blogging was considered cool. Those were the angst ridden teen years and now, in my quarter-life crisis, I seem to be turning to my keyboard once again for assistance.
I hope this blog helps facilitate my three biggest passions – food, fashion and travel; or what I call life. And I hope even more so that you’re inspired enough to go on this journey with me.
