La Mamounia, Marrakech

I feel like this past year my Instagram news feed has been nothing but warm, sun-kissed snaps of Morocco. And more precisely, the beyond beautiful La Mamounia, Marrakech.

I was lucky enough to spend by birthday at La Mamounia and was completely blown away by how spectacular the entire hotel and its grounds were. Every nook and corner is intricately and thoughtfully decorated with wonderful blend of both modern and Moroccan influences.

Lush gardens, a brightly painted exterior and endless colourful tiles adorn this palace! You will never tire of wandering through its expansive grounds, discovering something new and exciting every step of the way.

One of the iconic areas of La Mamounia, the indoor pool, fit for a Moroccan queen, complete with a royal throne on gold stilts!

Another iconic location, this stunning all white courtyard with pillars adorned with the most beautiful tiles and hanging glass lanterns. It’s light and airy and surround by water.

The hotel grounds are enormous with lovely little hideaways to sit and relax and lose yourself from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.

I can’t recommend La Mamounia enough, even if just for a visit to see its impressive grounds and grab a cup of tea in their gardens. The attention to detail, the service and the ambiance made this one of my most memorable birthdays yet!
