I spent a few days this past weekend taking in the last few glimpses of summer in the countryside retreat of The Grove.
Situated in the countryside of Herfordshire and only about an hour’s drive from London, The Grove was once the home of the Earls of Clarendon. It’s now a five-star championship golf resort with an award-winning spa and some of the most beautiful gardens.
My favourite part of The Grove was definitely their gardens with acres of green, incredible flowers, gigantic trees and water features.
Incredibly peaceful and serene, I don’t think I’ve ever taken so many walks in a single day!
The Grove is extremely popular, particularly during the summer for weddings, celebrations and other events. With so many beautifully landscaped open spaces, it’s not hard to see why!
The original eighteenth century mansion has been maintained with a few restorations featuring contemporary design and architecture. The perfect amalgamation of old and new.
Sadly, the day was slightly overcast (and cold! goodbye summer…) but I can imagine this view being even more beautiful basking in the sunshine!
I really enjoyed this little weekend escape just a step outside of London. Being only about an hour away makes it super easy to plan and fuss free! The staff at The Grove were also incredibly sweet and helpful, accommodating us whenever possible.
