Clifton Nurseries

I seem to have stumbled upon a colourful and green, garden oasis right in the middle of London and a few steps away from where I live. How convenient!

I’ve driven past Clifton Nurseries in Warwick Avenue several times but only recently got the chance to visit and was pleasantly surprised by what welcomed me. Lush gardens, design and decor and almost every type of indoor and outdoor plants you can think of!

You first find yourself amongst all outdoor plants, small, tall and coming in all colours.

Garden and patio furniture to decorate our outdoor space along with herbs and seeds to grow your own vegetables. Also, the garden staff are incredibly knowledgable if you’re a bit new to the whole gardening (or owning a plant) thing and aren’t quite blessed with green fingers.

Further towards the back, you’ll find the indoor plants (my favourite out of the lot); hydrangeas and orchids, succulents and cactus just to name a few!

I went a little crazy trying to decide what exactly I wanted to take home. I found myself really spoiled for choice here!

It’s like you’ve stepped out of grey and dreary London and into your own tropical paradise.

Still trying to make up my mind, we headed to the Quince Tree Cafe for some brunch. A beautiful conservatory with warm sunlight shining through.

We went for a good old eggs royale,

And a full english!

All washed down with a few cups of chai tea, cappuccino and apple, carrot, ginger & beetroot juice.

A wonderful Sunday afternoon for wandering around such beautiful surroundings and enjoying brunch with friends. I happily came home with a few greens that have now nicely made themselves at home in my flat. Here’s to hoping I can keep them alive for long!

Clifton Nurseries is located in Warwick Avenue and the closest tube station is Warwick Avenue. You can find out more information here.

What a lovely place to visit! Good luck with your plants – I love orchids myself but am terrible at tending them! x

    • I’ve had a go at orchids and I think the trick with them is that they actually don’t need much water. Just about a shot glass of water, once a week.

  • How beautiful – what a stunning place! I love your pants too!
