Autumn Essentials

It’s only taken eight years of living in the gloom and doom that is the British weather for me to get excited about my wardrobe for the autumn season!

Autumn Essentials

I now happily welcome the concept of layering, the smell of new leather boots and snuggling up with a thick, warm scarf for those countless windy days. So here are a couple of my autumn essentials to get you through the new season.

The Trench, New Look – I’ve been on the lookout for an olive trench for a while now and absolutely love this one I picked up a few weeks ago from New Look. The material is quite good value for money as well.

The Turtleneck, Miss Selfridge – This two-in-one turtle neck is incredibly soft and cozy and the white attached under-shirt makes it look like you’ve layered the outfit.

The Scarf, Zara – I’m a big fan of Zara’s scarfs as they’re super thick, soft and warm. This one will definitely be an addition to my ever-growing collection!

The Jacket, Missguided – This mustard, suede-effect biker jacket is such a cool take on the original. A head turner for sure.

The Dress, Lipsy – Even though smock dresses are quite light and airy and probably more suited for the summer months, just dress them up with some tights and boots and they’re ready for autumn! You can even throw on a jumper on top for when it’s especially cold.

The Bag, Michael Kors – I’ve been in love with this Sophie Hulme Bucket Bag for, forever! But this Michael Kors dupe is a little easier on the wallet.

The Skirt, Malene Birger – I love adding a touch of leather to my outfits in the darker, winter months and this skirt checks all the boxes. It’s also a great one for a day to night look.

The Boots, Kurt Geiger – I’m a hoarder of black boots, adding several to my collection each autumn. But just look at how beautiful these are!

  • Love your collection! Although I can’t wear turtlenecks, I just hate the feeling… it’s different with scarves cause they can be removed, but turtlenecks are just THERE and I get claustrophobic. Totally weird!

Haha I know what you mean. When it gets a little too hot, you can’t even remove them!

  • Absolutely love that skirt! Yay for leather weather!

I think it should always be leather weather!
