Nestled deep in one corner of Portobello Road, you will find the quaint and cozy brunch spot, Goode & Wright.
I came across this joint whilst strolling along my favourite road in London. Blink and you’ll miss it but a brief glimpse of their menu and you won’t need another reason to grab a seat and indulge in it’s brunch goodness!
Their weekend menu is very breakfast heavy, so a lot of eggs, toast, bacon and avocado! Sounds like the ideal Sunday morning spot!
I myself like to start with a spot of tea, green tea that is. I’m absolutely addicted!
After a few sips and finally warmed up from the chill outside, we began with Potato and Aged Parmesan Croquettes, with Truffle Honey. Cheesy, creamy balls of goodness with the zing of truffles and a rich, sweet sauce.
Next came the Buttermilk Chicken Schnitzel Burger and Salad. Perfectly crispy and juicy with a crunchy, buttery bun!
And finally, the Bacon Avocado Tomato Brioche Roll. An explosion of several flavours in one, crispy bacon, tangy tomato, rich avocado and a crunchy brioche bun.
Just look at that spread!
Back to a couple more cups of tea and couple more minutes to just sit and digest!
Notting Hill has an abundance of brunch posts, whether it be Granger & Co and Daylesford Organic in Westbourne Grove or The Electric on Portobello Road. They’re packed with locals and tourists alike, all hungry for a plate of Eggs Benedict and a couple glasses of Bloody Mary. You can’t get a spot without queuing for a good forty-five minutes! Goode & Wright however, is a well kept secret so head there while it’s still hidden away!
Located on 271 Portobello Road, the closest station is Notting Hill Gate and you can find out more information here.
