The Diner

I love a good burger; but I love a basket of freshly cooked fries even more! And at The Diner, I get the best of both worlds.

I stumbled upon The Diner by mistake a couple years ago, tired of waiting in line for The Breakfast Club in Hoxton. In my opinion, it was the best mistake I ever made! Following the discovery, there was a time when I’d head to The Diner every chance I’d get (living just down the road from one), sometimes even twice a week!

The Diner in Spitalfields opened quite recently and having been to almost all of them, I couldn’t miss this one! As expected, this place has an all American feel, describing their food as ‘Classic American dining in London’.

We went for the Taco Salad – Shredded Lettuce & Tomatoes with Guacamole, Salsa, Black Beans, Cheddar, Japaleño & Sour Cream served in a Toasted Taco and topped with some Crispy Fried Chicken. The only way to eat a salad if you ask me!

They also do some amazing milkshakes (give the Coconut & Nutella a go!) and buttermilk pancakes if you’re in the mood for something sweet.

The Diner is one of my favourite restaurants in London and is a place I keep coming back to time and time again. I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointment with anything I’ve ordered and by now, I’m pretty sure I’ve been through most of the menu.

You can find them in Camden, Soho, Gloucester Road, Islington, Shoreditch, Covent Garden, Dalston & Spitalfields. Shoreditch, Covent Garden, Spitalfields, Islington and Gloucester Road also deliver (if only this was available when I lived in east London)! More information can be found here.
