Notting Hill is my favourite part of London. From the iconic multi-coloured houses to its in-famous antiques, pretty little cafes to the notorious annual Carnival. If I could live anywhere in London, it would be in Notting Hill. Luckily, being just a stone’s throw away, I strolled through Portobello Market this weekend to make the most of a particularly sunny afternoon.
Every time I come to Portobello Market, I always make sure I stop by this interiors shop; Katrina Phillips Ltd. Don’t let the barely there sign fool you, this place has some beautiful house decor! Filled with rich wood and hues of soft beige and white, this is what I want my future home to look like! You can find out more here.
Coconuts make me happy! Particularly the meaty inside bit below!
Getting a bit peckish? Look no further than the most amazing falafel wrap you will try in London, from an (unfortunately) un-named yellow stall located right outside an organic and wholesale coffee shop, Coffee Plant (another must try!). And you can’t not stop by the in-famous Notting Hill Bookshop featured in the classic film, Notting Hill.
If you walk through the market and take one of the winding side streets, you will reach (a much quieter) Westbourne Grove, peppered with beautiful cafes, restaurants and designer shops. I find this part of London so peaceful and perfect for long walks and getting lost in this gigantic city. I could spend hours aimlessly walking around and discovering more side streets and places to visit.
Have you taken a stroll around Notting Hill yet? Are there any places in this area you think I should visit?
